When we ventured into the world of real food my youngest children were under ten years of age. (See more about our food journey here.) They were too young to use a knife, or so it seemed to me. Yet they were eager to be involved in the cooking process.

Our friend Andy, a butcher by trade, volunteered to teach the kids. They enjoyed their newly discovered prowess and each excelled in the kitchen. (Colin wrote about this in 2010. Read his post here.)

Four years later Colin produced this two-minute video to help other young people “sharpen their skills” in the kitchen.
