  1. Well said Andrea. Recently I watched my 15 year old nephews playing a very violent video game. Apparently their parents allow this. I raised my kids in the ’80’s and these types of games were not available.
I noticed the last few years of teaching (before recently retiring) that some of my 5th grade students struggled with anxiety, depression and had little desire to learn. When I would discuss these behaviors with their parents, they almost all noted their children frequently played violent video games. While they new it wasn’t best for their child they still allowed it.

I’m very concerned for the lives of my young grandchildren and would love nothing more than to see these recommendations put in place.

    • I appreciate hearing your thoughts and experiences, Cindi. Yes, some type of mainstream action is needed.
